Active World POS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Active World. Melbourne, 2017, and built for the aquatic centre rather than the café inside it.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

Active World Pty Ltd was founded in Melbourne in 2017, with the integrated platform shipping from 2019 and input from Australian leisure industry partners. It is leisure, fitness and class management software for aquatic, fitness and recreation centres — member-based facilities specifically. Self-service is the pitch: members handle their own details, bookings, classes and payments from a phone instead of queueing at reception. Positioning is against "siloed systems" and manual data entry, with competency-based tracking and invoicing in the one platform.

What is not published is the part that matters for a procurement decision: no site count, no named reference venues, and no clear statement of who owns the company. For a council or a leisure contractor those are the three questions to put in writing, along with what happens to your member data if the relationship ends. A 2017 start-up competing against long-established incumbents can be the right call, but only once those answers hold up.
