addictivePOS — bank compatibility

addictivePOS is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and quick service, built by Addictive Technology Solutions. A Gold Coast managed IT provider that sells POS as part of the package, not a software company that also does IT.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Addictive Technology Solutions was founded in 2008 by Robert Marsden, started on the Gold Coast and now runs offices at Varsity Lakes and Loganholme in Brisbane's south. Its core business is managed IT: networks, security, cyber, communications and digital, with Microsoft, Datto, Kaseya and Hikvision among its partners and Cybercert SMB1001 Gold certification. It was named a 2026 MSP Titans APAC finalist. Retail and drive-thru systems sit alongside that, and addictivePOS is the point-of-sale piece.

That ordering tells you what you are buying. With most vendors in this directory you buy software and someone else cables the shop. Here you are buying a managed services relationship where the till is one line item, which is genuinely attractive if you are a multi-site operator or franchisee who would rather have one company own the whole stack — network, cameras, drive-thru headsets, POS — and one number to call at 7pm on a Friday. It is less attractive if you want the best-of-breed POS and you already have an IT provider you trust.

It is certified with both Linkly and Tyro, and tagged for cafes and quick service. Fair questions to ask: how many POS sites they support as distinct from IT clients, and who writes and maintains the POS software itself.
