Aloha QS is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and quick service. Quick-service Aloha: the restaurant platform that made NCR dominant in hospitality tech, now sold by NCR Voyix after the 2023 company split.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
Aloha QS is the quick-service configuration of Aloha — counter service, speed of order, throughput — as distinct from the table-service build. It's an enterprise-grade restaurant platform used by large chains and independents alike, and in Australia it sits in Tyro's cafes and quick-service tier.
The company behind it has changed shape. NCR goes back to 1884 as the National Cash Register Company in Ohio, and Aloha is the product that built its dominant footprint in restaurant technology. In October 2023 NCR split into two listed companies, with NCR Voyix taking restaurants and retail and NCR Atleos taking the ATM business. Voyix has kept investing in the platform since — Aloha Pay-At-Table, powered by sunday, was rolled out after a 23-location European test and now reports more than 2,000 restaurants worldwide on that module alone.
What to actually ask: Aloha is sold and supported through partners in most markets, so the quality of your experience depends heavily on which local reseller you end up with.
