Anchor Operating System is a point-of-sale system for ticketing. Five engineers walked out of Ticketmaster, started this inside Hornblower in 2018, and it now ticks people into the Statue of Liberty.
Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.
Anchor started in 2018, and it started inside a business rather than in a garage. Co-founder Nasi Peretz, previously VP of engineering at Ticketmaster, describes five engineers leaving Ticketmaster together, and says Anchor's journey began within Hornblower Group, the cruise and experiences operator — which is also why the login and API links on its site still point at Hornblower domains. The operating entity is Anchor Operating System, LLC, based at Westlake Village in California.
What it actually is: a cloud control panel for attractions, not just a ticketing engine. Ticketing, memberships, point of sale, inventory, bars and restaurants and self-serve kiosks, built serverless on AWS, with an "Ask Anchor AI" layer over the reporting. Its own mantra is "by operators, for operators". Direct integrations run to Viator, CityPass, Google Things To Do, GetYourGuide, Expedia, Go City, Musement, Tiqets, Ventrata and Rezdy, and it says it is a preferred partner for GetYourGuide and Go City. It charges a percentage of web-based sales rather than setup or monthly fees.
The customer list is the proof. Statue of Liberty, Alcatraz Island, Niagara Falls, Toronto Zoo, NYC Ferry, Navy Pier, Puerto Rico Ferry and Bacardi's brand homes worldwide, with San Diego Zoo announced in December 2025 for a 2026 launch. Contracts are long: Peretz says the Statue of Liberty renewed for ten more years after five, NYC Ferry for five more after four, Niagara Falls has over 22 years left to run and Puerto Rico Ferry more than 28. Blooloop put it at over 70 million tickets sold as at December 2024; a company release a year later claimed 76.5 million guests a year and over 100 enterprise clients.
