AUPOS is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality, quick service and restaurants, built by AUREUS. Burwood in Sydney's inner west, 3,000 customers, and a clientele that is mostly Asian restaurants.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
Tyro rates it a Plus partner.
The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.
AUPOS runs out of Burwood Road in Sydney's inner west and puts its own numbers at 3,000-plus customers, 5,000-plus terminals deployed and more than 400,000 transactions a day. They came at this from the hardware and IT side, with over ten years in POS and IT products, and it shows in what they sell around the till: CCTV surveillance, a central kitchen management system, a warehouse management system and a restaurant self-ordering system.
The vertical list is the real tell. Hospitality is broken into a dozen-plus restaurant types with Japanese, Thai, Chinese and pizza called out by name, and retail runs to twenty-odd categories from supermarkets and jewellery to furniture and dry cleaning. That is a reseller business built on a community customer base, not a product company chasing one segment — and their own line about leveraging buying power to get customers a bargain says the same thing.
On this record Tyro covers purchases, receipts and refunds only. No cashout, no tipping, no Pay@Table. Fine for a counter-service restaurant; check it against how you actually take money before you commit.
