BetterClinics is practice-management software for allied health and health, built by Better Clinics. The company behind it is Nijoel Pty Ltd. The product PPMP's own website now sends allied health buyers to, from the same Melbourne owner.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Certified to do HealthPoint private health claiming and multi-merchant. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

Better Clinics is online practice management for allied health — physiotherapists, chiropractors, massage therapists, personal trainers, psychologists, counsellors, speech therapists and social workers, plus podiatrists, optometrists, nutritionists and Pilates studios. Scheduling, 24/7 online booking, client records and CRM, clinical notes, invoicing, payments, marketing, team management, point of sale and telehealth.

It is a PPMP product — the footer says so plainly — which puts it in the same house as PPMP itself and BetterHQ, all under Nijoel Pty Ltd out of Ivanhoe, Victoria. That is the useful context: PPMP's own site now recommends Better Clinics for allied health, so this is the newer cloud-first product the vendor is actively selling, and PPMP is the legacy system. If you are choosing between them, the vendor has already told you which way it is pointing.

Pricing starts at $19 a month for one team member and 50 clients, scaling to 50 providers before you have to talk to sales, with a 30-day trial. Claiming runs through Tyro for health claims and integrated EFTPOS, and Medipass is listed as an integration. Note what is not mentioned: HICAPS, and Medicare claiming. PPMP carries Medicare Online and DVA; the newer product does not advertise them. If you bulk bill, confirm that in writing before you migrate.

Health claiming at the terminal

Certified through Tyro for Tyro HealthPoint. Tyro is its own acquirer, so claiming through the terminal means banking with Tyro.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
