The ownership is the part most of its customers would not know. Reckon, the ASX-listed accounting software firm, owned BetterHQ along with its sibling product Better Clinics, and sold both to PPMP in May 2023.
PPMP is an Australian allied-health practice management specialist. It says it has more than 30 years in the software industry and supplies over 10,000 practitioners, and it bought the two platforms specifically to consolidate them for allied health. That is a useful signal about where the development attention is heading. If you are a salon, a retailer or a trade business on BetterHQ rather than a clinic, it is worth asking them directly what the roadmap looks like for your end of the product before you build your bookings around it.
