Biscount is a point-of-sale system for automotive and retail, built by Biscount Software. A dealer management system for mower shops and boat dealers, written by someone who ran one.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Biscount is an Australian-built dealer management system rather than a general retail POS, and the difference is the workshop. Power equipment, agricultural, automotive, motorcycle and marine dealers — the businesses that sell a ride-on mower and then service it for the next decade. It bundles point of sale, accounting, stock control, service workshop jobcards and marketing into one package. Zeller puts it at 400-plus retailers across Australia and New Zealand with roughly 30 years behind it.
It was written by a working retailer in the power equipment and marine trades, with ongoing input from existing customers, rather than by a software house — and that shows up in the unglamorous features. It imports PDF invoices from around 60 different suppliers and carries price-file integrations with Stihl, Honda, Husqvarna, John Deere and Yamaha, with automated reordering off stock thresholds. If you have ever hand-keyed a Stihl invoice you understand why that is the selling point rather than the app design.
Who it is not for: hospitality, fashion, or anyone without a service department. This is a trade counter plus a workshop, and that is the whole product.
