BizFlex is a point-of-sale system for general retail, gifts and homeware and retail, built by Dataccount Computer. A Melbourne company first registered in 1984 that has been writing its own retail software since 2001.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Dataccount Computer Pty Ltd was first registered in 1984, is privately owned, and runs out of an office in Melbourne. Since 2001 the main business has been designing and marketing retail management software for small and medium enterprises, and BizFlex Retail is their own proprietary system, developed and supported by in-house IT specialists rather than licensed in from someone else.

BizFlex covers touch-screen point of sale with customer loyalty, integration into inventory, financial and staffing systems, automatic updates to a website shopping cart, mobile apps for jobs like stocktaking, and links out to external web-based systems. It will run on a local server, in the cloud, or on both at once for redundancy — a more considered answer to the cloud question than most vendors this size give.

It is set up for a single store, multiple corporate or franchised sites, warehouses or pop-ups, and Tyro's listing puts it in general retail and gifts and homeware. Delivery is partly through third-party authorised resellers and approved technical contractors handling hardware and network installation nationally, so the people who install and maintain yours may not be the people who wrote it.
