BIZPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail. Free software, free terminal, Macquarie Park address — and the payments are what pays for all of it.
Certified on both Linkly and mx51, which between them cover most of the acquiring market.
Certified to do tipping, cash out, phone and mail order and surcharging.
The Linkly integration runs on premise. The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in March 2024, on Windows.
BIZPOS is the trading name of AGIOSYS PTY LTD, based at Macquarie Park in Sydney's north. The product is a cloud POS with inventory, reporting and a mobile dashboard app, plus kitchen display, pay-at-table and flexible pricing, and it sells hardware or will work with gear you already own. It aims at small business — cafes, restaurants, retail, takeaway and food court outlets, salons, spas and clinics, and karaoke and bowling venues.
The commercial model is the thing to understand. BIZPOS advertises free POS software and free EFTPOS for eligible businesses, with eligibility and transaction-volume conditions attached. That is not a trick, but it is a trade: the software is subsidised by the payment processing, so the deal only works if your volume suits them, and the economics of switching away later are different from a normal software subscription. Read the eligibility conditions and the term before you take free hardware.
One discrepancy worth raising with them directly. The integration directories list BIZPOS as certified with Linkly and mx51, while BIZPOS's own site names Tyro, Zeller and PayNuts as its integrated EFTPOS partners. Those are not the same set, so confirm in writing which acquirer you would actually be connected through before you sign.
