BookDi POS is a point-of-sale system for personal services and services. A Sydney booking app for barbers and nail salons, still running a pilot — the checkout is really just a one-click push to a Tyro terminal.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
BookDi is made in Sydney and aimed squarely at beauty and wellness: barbers, hair salons, nails, skin and wellness. The pitch is unlimited staff, unlimited bookings and zero commission on the booking side, with an AI assistant doing the financial reporting. The payments piece is narrow and honest about itself — the price is sent to your terminal with one click, integrated with Tyro. That is the whole POS story. There is no inventory, no kitchen, no multi-site layer here.
It is early. The site is running a pilot program with a visible counter showing single-digit sign-ups out of ten spots, the call to action is a Calendly demo rather than a sign-up, and the About link goes nowhere. No founding year, directors or pricing are published, and the only named customer is a testimonial from a salon owner. If you are a salon looking at this, you are looking at a product still finding its feet, not an established book you can lean on.
