BOSSII is a point-of-sale system for accommodation, bars and pubs, cafes and hospitality, and 1 more, built by Help Us. Brisbane-built in 2003 by two hospitality owners who had spent five years failing to find a POS they liked.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
It handles split bills. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs in the cloud or on premise. Linkly holds 2 separate certified builds for it, so what works depends which one you are on.
Bossii came out of Brisbane in 2003. Two hospitality owners spent five years looking at point of sale systems, decided every one of them had holes in data capture, usability and reporting, and wrote their own. The business still runs out of Brisbane, with a second office in Cyprus, which is unusual for a venue POS this size. The founders go by Jamie and Elias.
What it is actually built for is venues where functions and deposits matter. Bookings and functions management is the part they push hardest, and the reporting leans towards labour cost and cost of goods rather than the till itself — owner-operator numbers. Reference venues are Brisbane bar and dining names: Brooklyn Standard, Hellcat Maggie, Alfred Constance, Il Molo.
Tyro covers purchases, receipts, refunds, split payments and tipping on this one. Account transfers, bill splitting and linking members to a bill are the features they lead with, which fits the bar and function-room end of hospitality rather than quick service.
