Bp VIP.net is practice-management software for health and medical specialists. Bought off Houston Medical in 2015 and rebadged — it's the specialist and surgical sibling of the GP product, not the same software.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
The integration covers multi-merchant. Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.
Bp VIP.net is practice management software for medical and surgical specialists. It did not start inside Best Practice Software: the company bought it from Houston Medical in 2015 and renamed it under the Bp brand. That history is the reason it looks and behaves differently to Bp Premier — two separate codebases sold by the same Bundaberg company, aimed at two different kinds of practice.
The parent is Best Practice Software, founded 2004 in Bundaberg, Queensland by GP Dr Frank Pyefinch and Lorraine Pyefinch, now supporting over 6,000 clinics across Australia and New Zealand and still privately held. Bp VIP.net sits in its specialist line, with Bp Premier covering general practice.
If you are a specialist rooms choosing a terminal, do not assume a certification against Bp Premier carries across to VIP.net. They are different products with different integration work behind them — ask for the certification against the exact product and version you run.
