CareRight — practice software and bank compatibility

CareRight is practice-management software for health and medical specialists. An Adelaide-built system aimed at the harder end of health — day hospitals, mental health, drug and alcohol, cancer care — not GP rooms.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.

CareRight is built by Clintel Systems, an Australian-owned company founded in 2006 and based in Kent Town, South Australia, with all development and support done locally. It is clinical practice management software, not a POS, and the claiming is the point of it at the front desk.

The settings it covers are unusual and tell you who it is for: hospitals and inpatient facilities, day hospitals, medical specialist practices, mental health services, drug and alcohol rehabilitation, cancer care centres, university health clinics, community health and multi-disciplinary deployments. Clintel says the platform manages over 500,000 patients with more than 5,000 active users, and its client base runs from government health departments through to individual specialists across Australasia, with documented deployments at Queensland University of Technology and the University of Wollongong.

On claiming, Clintel is specific about certification: Medicare Web Services, Medicare IHC and IMC, Thelma, and Tyro terminals. That named-terminal list is more than most vendors publish, and it is the right level of detail to hold them to — if your preferred acquirer is not on it, assume the integration does not exist rather than that nobody mentioned it.

Connected through

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
