Casio V-R200 / V-R7000 is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by Casio. Casio has quietly left the cash register business altogether — its own support site says repairs ended in March 2026.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Casio has been in cash registers since 1976, starting with the Sigma 50, and it has a fair claim on a couple of firsts: the TK-2100 in 1983 was the world's first flat-key register, and the V-R100 in 2012 was the first Android-platform EPOS terminal anybody shipped. The V-R range descends from that. The V-R7000 is the 15-inch widescreen model aimed at pubs and restaurants, launched May 2014 with an IP53 dust-and-water rating and no fan or hard disk in it. The V-R200 is the compact one with an integrated printer and pop-up customer display, pitched at cafes and delis where there is no counter space to spare.

Here is the part that matters. Casio's own support site now states that production and sales of all its electronic cash register models have been discontinued, and that technical support and repair services concluded as of March 2026. The notice is worded broadly and does not name the V-R line specifically, so get a straight answer from Casio in writing before you buy one. Meanwhile Casio's UK EPOS site still presents both models as current, and at least one Australian reseller still lists the V-R200 as available now — while the larger Australian POS retailers have dropped the terminals entirely and stock nothing but a 3-pin adapter, printer spares and register keys.

If you already run one it still works, and nothing here says you need to rip it out this week. But a till you cannot get repaired is a till on borrowed time, and that changes the maths on staying put versus moving to something supported.
