Cegid Retail Y2 is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by GOC Retail. A French enterprise platform behind R.M. Williams and Oroton tills, sold here by a Brookvale reseller.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Cegid was founded in Lyon in 1983 by Jean-Michel Aulas — yes, the Olympique Lyonnais president — and listed on the French market in 1986. Silver Lake and AltaOne took it private in a bid announced in April 2016, delisting it from Euronext Paris on 27 July 2017; KKR took a minority stake in 2021 in a transaction valuing the group at EUR5.5 billion, with Silver Lake remaining the majority holder. The group reported around 750,000 customers and EUR852 million of revenue as at 31 December 2023, across roughly 5,000 staff and 130 countries.

Retail is about a quarter of that. By 2016 the retail portfolio covered around 1,000 brands and 30,000 stores in 75 countries; after the Cylande acquisition in November 2017 the combined retail business was serving roughly 70,000 stores in 70 countries. Yourcegid Retail Y2 was the modular, customer-centric retail suite, moved to Microsoft Azure from March 2017 for Europe, available in almost 75 countries and 25 languages, with Asics, Paul Smith and Carre Blanc among the named users.

Locally it comes through GOC Retail, listed in Cegid's own partner directory as a reseller with its head office in Brookvale, New South Wales and offices in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Sweden and the United States. Its named Cegid Retail Y2 clients are R.M. Williams, Oroton and GANT. One thing to flag: Y2 is a legacy name — Cegid's current branding is Cegid Retail and Cegid Retail One, launched 10 June 2026 — so check which version a quote actually covers.
