Centaman Systems is a point-of-sale system for hospitality. Sydney-built attractions software that Constellation Software bought in 2010 and still sells under the same name.

Centaman has been in the leisure and recreation software business since 1991, running ticketing, point of sale, stock control, membership management, CRM, bookings, access control and kiosks for attractions. Australian deployments on the record include Cairns Aquarium, which picked it for admissions, retail, food and beverage, annual passes and bookings ahead of its 2017 opening; Luna Park Melbourne, which moved its entry management, ticketing and retail checkout onto the Enterprise Suite; and the Adelaide Aquatic Centre, which sees 750,000 visits a year at more than 2,000 a day.

Constellation Software Inc. announced on 21 April 2010 that its wholly-owned subsidiary Gary Jonas Computing Ltd had acquired Centaman Holdings Pty Ltd of Sydney. In 2013 Constellation merged Centaman with Gladstone to form Jonas Leisure for Australia and New Zealand, now headquartered in Brisbane with offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Perth, Auckland and Wellington. Jonas Software runs more than 110 independently managed software brands worldwide.

Two things worth knowing. Centaman is a brand inside Jonas Leisure now, not an operating company — which is why support and contracting conversations have a Brisbane head office behind them. And it is a sibling of Impos under the same Constellation umbrella, so a venue comparing Centaman against Impos for its food and beverage outlets is comparing two products with one ultimate owner.
