CloudHQ4 says more than 8,000 devices run on its platform — devices, note, not sites — and its customer list is more interesting than most at this end of the market. The Salvation Army is on there twice over, for its Material Aid Centres and Salvos Stores. Bensons Trading is named as running 78 POS systems with integrated EFTPOS. We Wash U Shop is listed with seven locations and over 79,000 registered customers. Also named: Bromley's Bread, Flame Tree Co-op, Uncorked Wines, The Fruit Men, The Common Good and Golders.

The Mobile POS app is the handheld piece of that: a free app that needs a CloudHQ4 account behind it, covering payment acceptance with loyalty, gift cards, stock and customers. The iOS listing carries a CloudHQ4 Pty Ltd copyright from 2019 under the developer name Cloud HQ, which is the clearest signal that CloudHQ and CloudHQ4 are one business — both vendor names point at the same site.

The lineage runs back through Poswise, an older Melbourne POS brand at Cheltenham in Victoria that ended support for its original software on 1 January 2018 and moved its users onto CloudHQ. Poswise claimed over 2,000 sites regionally. One customer testimonial on the vendor's own site mentions using CloudHQ and Poswise for ten years, which fits. No founding date, owner or registered address for CloudHQ4 Pty Ltd is published anywhere we could find.
