ComputerLink POS — bank compatibility

ComputerLink is a point-of-sale system for retail. Running since 1979 out of Rocklea in Brisbane, and still aimed squarely at newsagents, bookshops and card and gift shops.
Certified on both Linkly and mx51, which between them cover most of the acquiring market.
It handles phone and mail order and surcharging.
The Linkly integration runs on premise. The mx51 integration uses Spice and was last certified in November 2019, on Windows.
Computerlink has been writing retail software since 1979 — forty-seven years — from Rocklea in Brisbane's south. That makes it one of the oldest POS companies on this site, and it has stayed in the same niches the whole way: newsagencies, bookshops, card and gift stores, specialty coffee, and general retail.
The system covers the parts those shops actually live or die on: purchase orders, inventory maintenance, customer orders, stock control, ordering, marketing and reporting, on touchscreen. They offer seven-day support, which matters for a newsagency opening at 5am on a Sunday. Named customers on their own site are the kind of businesses you would expect — Finley Newsagency and Bayside News. They say the software is in use in Australia and overseas. If you are in a magazine-and-stationery business with supplier returns to manage, a specialist like this is usually a better fit than a general cloud till.
