coreplus — practice software and bank compatibility

coreplus is practice-management software for allied health and health. Australian, launched in 2009, and the integration is thinner than the product — which is the bit to check before you commit.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

It handles HealthPoint private health claiming. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

Scheduling, notes, billing and reporting in the browser, aimed at the allied health end rather than general practice. The company has shifted its support and help content from coreplus.com.au to corepluspm.com, so if you are chasing documentation, that is where it now lives.

The payments picture is the thing to look at closely. coreplus's Tyro certification covers integrated EFTPOS and integrated purchases — and that is it. No Medicare Easyclaim, no Tyro HealthPoint, no refunds through the integration. For an allied health practice, HealthPoint is usually the feature that justifies an integrated terminal in the first place, so if health fund rebates at the counter matter to you, confirm directly with coreplus how that is handled before you plan around it.

None of which makes it a bad system — plenty of practices bill through other channels and only need card payments to land cleanly. Just go in knowing the claiming is not in the integration, because the product pages will not lead with that.
