DCS POS — bank compatibility

DCS POS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Sacoa Cashless. An Argentine family business that invented the arcade debit card because inflation killed the token.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

The origin story is better than most. Mauricio Mochkovsky saw a juke box at the Derby Bar in Mar del Plata in the mid-1950s and bought three; the family started amusement routes in 1957 and opened their first family entertainment centre in Mar del Plata in 1969. In 1992 Jorge Mochkovsky proposed replacing coins and tokens with a card system — Argentine inflation had made tokens worthless faster than they could be reminted — and in 1993 the first store went live on a computerised magnetic PlayCard system. By 1994 Sacoa was exporting it to Playcenter in Brazil and Dave & Buster's in the United States.

Thirty years on, Sacoa reports more than 2,700 entertainment centres across 70 countries running its cashless debit card systems, with offices in the USA, Mexico, Brazil, Italy, UAE and Taiwan alongside Argentina. It remains family-owned and independent, with Jorge Mochkovsky as founder and president and a fourth generation of Mochkovskys now in the business — no corporate parent, no private equity.

One note on the record itself: Sacoa never expands 'DCS' anywhere on its own site. The product is branded PlayCard, and the legal entity shown on the site is SDCS LLC. If you are reconciling integration paperwork, expect the names not to line up.
