DPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, quick service and restaurants, built by Deliverit. Thirty-odd years of pizza shops, kebab shops and fish and chipperies — and now an Oolio brand.
It is certified on all three middleware layers that matter here — Linkly, mx51 and Tyro. Eighteen of the 1,127 systems on this site manage that, which leaves your choice of bank about as open as it gets.
The integration covers tipping and phone and mail order. Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.
The Linkly integration runs on premise. The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in February 2019, on Windows.
Deliverit started in 1992, run out of North Melbourne by people who had worked in hospitality and could see what takeaway shops were putting up with. DPOS is the till. The company is still there — Boundary Road, North Melbourne — with 70-plus staff and what it describes as thousands of stores on the platform.
The niche is narrow and it is the whole point: pizza, kebabs, fish and chips, general takeaway. Order flow, delivery dispatch and online ordering rather than table service. If you run a pizza shop this is a product built for you; if you run a wine bar it is not.
Ownership has moved. Pemba Capital picked up Deliverit in August 2021 and it now sits inside Oolio alongside Bepoz, Idealpos, SwiftPOS and OrderMate — a group of 22,000-plus venues formed when Pemba merged Bepoz with the ASX-listed MSL Solutions in 2023.
