EatCool Kiosk — bank compatibility

Self-service kiosk by Me and friend · All point-of-sale systems

  • hospitality

EatCool Kiosk is a self-service kiosk for hospitality, built by Me and friend. Not a separate product at all, but the kiosk tier of the EatCool suite, listed a second time under the ACN entity name.

Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.

It handles surcharging.

The mx51 integration uses SPI iOS and was last certified in July 2024, on iOS.

Worth knowing before you shortlist this: there is no standalone kiosk company here. The vendor name "Me and friend" is the legal entity, ME AND FRIEND PTY LTD, ABN 71 128 458 800 out of Brisbane's south, which is the same entity that trades as EatCool. One vendor appears twice in the integration listings, once under its brand and once under its registered company name.

The kiosk itself is one self-ordering codebase with two front ends. EatCool's own wording is "Self-order menu comes in Table and Kiosk Versions" -- same product, one on a stand, one on the table. It sits in the pricing table as "Kiosk Self Ordering System" at free, like everything else in the suite, and there is no dedicated kiosk page, no model names and no hardware specs published anywhere.

So the practical answer: if you want a kiosk from these people you are buying the whole EatCool stack and switching a module on. That is perfectly fine if they are already on your list for the till. It is not a reason to put them on the list if kiosks are all you want.
