Eclipse is a point-of-sale system for automotive and retail, built by Ultimate Business Systems. A Melbourne dealer management system for caravan, ag, marine and car yards — and some customers have been on it fifteen years and more.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

It handles cash out.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Eclipse is built by Ultimate Business Systems in Burwood, Victoria. It is an all-in-one dealer management system rather than a shop POS: sales, service, parts, accounting and HR in one package, with real-time inventory, CRM, mobile sales tools and departmental dashboards. The dealership shape — a showroom, a parts counter and a workshop that all need to see the same stock — is what it is designed around.

The verticals are RV and caravan dealers, agricultural and machinery dealers, new car franchises, used car yards, motorbike and marine. Named customers on their own site include Lawrence RV, JSW Powersports, Lifestyle Caravans, Brisbane Campersland, FTG Nissan and Wangaratta Caravans, and at least one testimonial talks about running Eclipse for over fifteen years. Long tenure cuts both ways: it suggests the software does the job, and it also suggests switching is painful, so get the data-migration conversation on the table early.
