EFTPOS for Jiwa Financials POS — bank compatibility

Point-of-sale system by Opal Logic · All point-of-sale systems

EFTPOS for Jiwa Financials is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Opal Logic. A payment module for an ERP rather than a till in its own right — the thing it plugs into is Jiwa.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Jiwa Financials is the parent product and the reason this record exists. Jiwa is Australian owned and operated, with software development and product support kept in Australia and New Zealand. Its ERP was first implemented in 1995 and had passed 1,500 sites by 2014, running everything from small businesses to global enterprises. Jiwa 7, a full rewrite of the Version 6 series, was released on 3 March 2014. The industries it lives in are import, distribution, manufacturing, warehousing, and service and repair.

So the merchant question here is not the usual one. Jiwa is an inventory and distribution ERP, and this module is what lets a trade counter or service desk running Jiwa take a card without someone rekeying the amount into a standalone terminal — which is where the errors and the reconciliation pain come from. Nothing is published about Opal Logic, the vendor named on the record; what is documented is the integration, not the integrator, so ask who maintains it and against which terminal before you rely on it.
