EightApp POS is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and restaurants. 8 App Pty Ltd sell it as a whole business platform rather than a till, and the flat monthly fee with no commission is the real hook.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

EightApp comes from 8 App Pty Ltd and is pitched as an all-in-one business platform rather than point of sale specifically — online store and app profile, online and contactless payments, bookings, deliveries and pickups, customer management, marketing tools and a rewards program, with the POS as one part of that. It sells into hospitality, cafes and restaurants.

The commercial model is the thing worth noting. $59.95 plus GST a month as a fixed fee with no commission, no lock-in contract and no cancellation fee, and at time of writing a free trial of the full feature set running twelve months. For a cafe doing online orders, a flat fee against no commission per order is a materially different deal to the marketplace platforms, which is clearly the comparison they want you to make.

What the site does not give you is scale. No venue count, no founding date, no team — just a reference to a growing user base. So treat it as a young product with an aggressive offer rather than an established platform, and read the trial terms before you build your online ordering on it. Tyro certification covers integrated purchases and receipts.
