Embed PG POS — bank compatibility

Embed PG is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail, built by Embed International. The cashless card system in 3,000 arcades worldwide, with a grandparent that started in Perth in 1958.

Embed supplies revenue management and cashless card systems to the amusement, entertainment and leisure industries — game card readers, kiosks, mobile wallet and point of sale, under the smartTOUCH, KIOSK+ and TOOLKIT product names. It reports 1,000-plus customers and 3,000-plus installations across 59 countries, and says its Mobile Wallet has been the only Apple and Google certified mobile payment solution in the industry since launching in 2019.

The Australian thread is real but indirect. Helix Leisure's own history says the cashless business management system that became Embed was developed in the 1990s by the LAI Group — Leisure and Allied Industries, founded by Malcolm Steinberg in Perth, Western Australia in 1958, and the company behind the Timezone arcade chain. In 2014 Embed, LAI Games and The Locker Network were merged into a single operating company, Helix Leisure, then a division of the LAI Group, with Theo Sanders as chief executive. Helix added Booking Boss in 2017.

Embed trades as a Helix Leisure company today — the group's own sites still carry that line into 2026. One caution: Helix's public news feed has not been updated since April 2022, so if you are signing a multi-year agreement, ask directly who the counterparty is now rather than relying on the website.
