ERPLY is a point-of-sale system for fashion and apparel, general retail, gifts and homeware and retail, and 1 more, built by Point of Sale. An Estonian startup that TechCrunch once called the Skype of business software.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

ERPLY was founded in 2009 in Tallinn by Kris Hiiemaa and moved its base to New York in 2010. It took €50,000 from Seedcamp in 2009 and US$2 million from Redpoint Ventures and Index Ventures in 2010, and grew from 200 subscribers to over 50,000, with its largest US client running 500 retail locations.

It is a cloud retail platform — inventory control, bookkeeping, customer insights, billing, reporting, barcode handling — pitched at retailers running stores and online together. The install base and the development centre of gravity are the United States and Europe, not Australia, which is the thing to weigh. The product is mature and the company is well funded, but if something breaks at 8am Sydney time you want to know exactly whose night shift you are calling.
