Evopos — bank compatibility

Evopos is a point-of-sale system for automotive and retail. A dealer management system rather than a shop till — it tracks the unit, the workshop job and the parts, which is why bike and caravan dealers use it.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Evopos has been developed over more than twenty-five years and sells a dealer management system, not a retail POS. The distinction matters: a dealer needs to buy, sell and trade individual units with a full history attached to each one, book workshop jobs, log technician time against them, and order parts by EDI with supplier price files loaded in. A standard till does none of that.

The trades it covers are motorcycle, cycle, automotive, marine, garden equipment, agriculture and machinery, and caravans, plus straight retail and distribution. CRM, accounting and web integration sit in the same package. Evopos Pty Ltd doesn't publish a customer count or a headquarters on the pages reviewed, so treat scale claims carefully — but for a workshop-and-unit business the shape of the product is right, and the EFTPOS question becomes about the counter terminal in the parts department as much as the showroom.
