Fedelta is a point-of-sale system for bars and pubs, hospitality, quick service and restaurants, built by Fedelta Point of Sale. Queensland-built enterprise hospitality software, bought in late 2024 by a Canadian acquirer that never sells anything.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
It handles pay at table, split bills and cash out. Tyro rates it a Premium partner — their top tier.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Alex Cooke and Scott Buckham founded Fedelta in 2003 and ran it out of Queensland for two decades. It is the enterprise end of hospitality POS rather than a single-cafe product — the platform bundles back office, loyalty, inventory, kitchen monitoring and analytics around the till, which is what multi-site operators actually buy.
Banyan Software acquired it on 29 November 2024. Banyan is worth understanding: founded in 2016, it buys niche vertical software companies and explicitly holds them for life rather than flipping them, with offices across North America, the UK, EU and Asia-Pacific. Operating partner Damon Fieldgate said Banyan would invest in product and business development.
For a Fedelta site that is a mixed signal and a fair one. A buy-and-hold owner is not going to shut the product down, but the roadmap now gets set in a portfolio review rather than by the two blokes who wrote it.
