FutureNet is a point-of-sale system for fuel, hospitality and retail. A fuel and convenience specialist — it drives the pumps as well as the till, which is the bit a general retail POS cannot do.

Certified on both Linkly and mx51, which between them cover most of the acquiring market.

The integration covers cash out and phone and mail order.

The Linkly integration runs on premise. The mx51 integration uses SPI .NET and was last certified in August 2018, on Windows.

FutureNet builds POS for service stations and convenience stores, and the difference from a normal retail till is pump control. It integrates to POSTEC forecourt controllers, so the console authorises the pump, holds the drive-off and brings the fuel sale back into the same sale as the pie and the coffee. Back office covers stock control and mobile management reporting.

The banner logos tell you where it actually lives: Metcash, IGA, SPAR, FoodWorks, Friendly Grocer and ALM — the independent grocery and convenience side of the market, not the majors. Customer testimonials on their own site run to independent IGA and FoodWorks operators, a SPAR site, an independent fuel station and a butcher. Worth knowing they also push their own payments product, FuturePay EFTPOS, alongside the POS, so you may get a bundled pitch rather than a pure software quote.
