FxOnline POS — bank compatibility
Point-of-sale system by Ria Financial Services · All point-of-sale systems
FxOnline is a point-of-sale system, built by Ria Financial Services. The vendor is a remittance network owned by a Nasdaq-listed payments group, not a till company — and nobody publishes a thing about this product.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Ria has been moving money across borders since 1987. Euronet Worldwide agreed to buy it — then RIA Envia, Inc., out of Los Angeles — on 21 November 2006 for $380 million cash plus about $110 million in Euronet stock, roughly 7.9% of its diluted shares, with contingent value rights on top. The deal closed on 4 April 2007 and made Euronet the third-largest money transfer company in the world. At the time Ria had over 10,000 sending agents, 98 company-owned stores across 13 countries and more than 32,000 correspondent payer locations in 82 countries.
Ria's own site now claims more than 600,000 locations, though the same page also says 'more than 100 countries' while its meta description says 190-plus, so take the headline figure loosely. What it is, though, is clear enough: a remittance agent network, the shopfront where someone sends cash home. It does operate in Australia, with locations in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Its parent Euronet trades on the Nasdaq as EEFT, and its best-known tie-up is Walmart, running Walmart-2-Walmart transfers across more than 4,600 US stores.
We could find nothing at all published about a product called FxOnline belonging to Ria — not on Ria's own history page, not in any coverage of the company. The likeliest reading is that this is an in-house agent terminal application rather than software Ria sells to anybody, and it is certainly not a retail point of sale. Do not buy it as a till.
