HubSpot POS by Upstream is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by upstreamtech. A till built on top of HubSpot, by a Canberra-founded consultancy that is a HubSpot Diamond partner.

Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Upstream Tech began in Canberra as a small team selling cloud services and has grown into an IT consultancy building custom business applications — work operating systems, VoIP and point of sale among them, for clients in Australia and New Zealand. Its credentials sit in partner tiers rather than its own product line: HubSpot Diamond partner, monday.com Platinum partner, Google Cloud working partner, and a member of the Apple Consultant Network.

That explains what this product actually is. A POS built on HubSpot is a till whose customer record is the CRM record — not a POS with a CRM bolted onto the side, but the reverse. For a business whose sales and marketing already live in HubSpot, that is a materially different proposition from a standalone till that syncs overnight and loses half the detail. For a business that does not use HubSpot, it is a strange place to start.

Practically, this is a consultancy build, so what any given site runs is whatever Upstream configured for them, and the payment integration is part of that engagement rather than an off-the-shelf certification you can assume from the brand. Ask what it is actually wired to before quoting.
