HumeWorld POS — bank compatibility
Point-of-sale system by Hume Building Products · All point-of-sale systems
- industrial
HumeWorld is a point-of-sale system for industrial, built by Hume Building Products. The trade platform of a 100% Australian-owned family door manufacturer that turns out more than three million doors a year.
Certified on mx51, which is the engine behind several banks’ own terminal offerings rather than something a merchant buys by name.
The mx51 integration uses SPI Java and was last certified in June 2026, on Android.
HumeWorld is the online platform of the Hume group, and the counter behind it is a builders' and trade counter rather than a retail shop — the customer is a builder, a joiner or a hardware merchant ordering doors, not a walk-in.
Hume was founded in 1953 by Don Buckley, who started the group with a team of 15. It remains a 100% Australian-owned family company, with operations in every Australian capital city, regional branches across Australia and New Zealand, and offshore operations in Malaysia and New Zealand. It employs more than 1,200 staff in Australia and over 2,000 worldwide, and has the capacity to produce more than three million doors a year across six ranges — entrance, internal, systems, timber, flush and commercial — covering both high-volume production and low-volume specialist manufacturing.
Worth noting what that means for payments: this is a manufacturer's own trade system, so card payment at the counter sits alongside account trading, not instead of it.
