Indigo8 POS is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Indigo8. Melbourne-built apparel ERP where the till is one module of seven — the engine is wholesale and production.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Indigo8 Australia Pty Ltd, ABN 23 138 651 635, is based in Brighton, Melbourne. The origin is unusual: the software was written in 2003 as internal systems for a large American apparel business, managing product information between that client's two New York design offices, a New Jersey warehouse and three Asian offices, later extended to pricing, QC, critical paths, samples and production. When that company was sold in 2004, three employees bought the rights to the software from the new owners and started Indigo8. No acquisition, funding round, investor or parent company appears in any public source since, so it reads as independently owned — though no source states ownership outright, and the founders are not named anywhere.

The product spans product management, wholesale sales with JOOR, Brandboom and Brandscope order imports plus EDI into the major retailers, production that combines wholesale and retail demand into factory purchase orders, retail management with integrated POS, inventory, warehouse pick-and-pack with Australian and offshore 3PL integrations, and advanced reporting. Retail POS is one module among those; the centre of gravity is wholesale plus high-volume ecommerce fulfilment. Pricing is published, which is rare in this market: Enterprise LITE from A$2,000 a month and Enterprise PLUS from A$5,000. The company says it supports 150-plus fashion brands across Australia and New Zealand, although another page on its own site says 80-plus, so treat the figure as self-reported. Named clients include Assembly Label, By Charlotte, Lioness, Peppermayo, Sabbi and SIR. On independent reviews, Nicholas M., a commercial and operations manager, rated it 5 out of 5 in November 2018 — "It's easy, it's intuitive and it works extremely well!" — while listing the reporting module as the thing he was still trying to work out. Across reviews, speed and reporting are the recurring complaints; support responsiveness and handling large size and colour ranges are the recurring praise.
