Infinity Retail Management System is a point-of-sale system for retail, built by Triquestra NZ. The quiet Auckland company behind the till at half the fuel forecourts in New Zealand.

Triquestra runs out of Rosebank Road in Avondale, Auckland, with an Australian office at Eight Mile Plains in Queensland, and Infinity is its retail management system — deployable as a full unified commerce platform or as POS only, covering point of sale, ecommerce, order management, inventory, loyalty, pricing and promotions and analytics. The company says it has been serving the global retail industry for more than 30 years; it does not publish a founding year and we will not invent one.

Fuel and convenience is where it is strongest, and the reference list is serious. Z Energy, New Zealand's largest fuel retailer, runs Infinity across 500-plus Z and Caltex sites handling around 60 million transactions a year through 360 POS lanes, and uses it to underpin the Pumped loyalty programme. GAS rolled Infinity POS across 127 stores in ten weeks. Caltex New Zealand piloted at seven service stations with a planned rollout to 140. NZ Post signed for Infinity POS across 244 retail sites.

It is not fuel-only. Liquorland's roughly 130 stores, Night 'n Day, Fonterra Farm Source, Moore Wilson's, Coupland's, Goldpine, Cue Clothing Co., T2 Tea, Nutrien Ag Solutions and Discount Tyres are all named customers, which is a decent spread of Australian and New Zealand multi-site retail. For a merchant weighing it up, Infinity's pitch is the unglamorous one: high transaction volume, many lanes, many sites, few surprises.
