Infrasys is the flagship point of sale of Shiji Group, which was founded in 1998, runs more than 5,000 staff across 80-plus subsidiaries and brands in over 31 countries, and services more than 91,000 hotels. The listed entity is Beijing Shiji Information Technology (Shenzhen: 002153). Infrasys itself is Beijing-based, has twenty-plus years in the hotel and restaurant space and over 5,500 hotel installations worldwide.

Where you will actually meet it is the big chains. Shiji signed a global master services agreement with Marriott for Infrasys Cloud POS covering Africa, Asia Pacific, the Caribbean, Latin America, Europe and the Middle East; completed its 200th Hyatt hotel installation; took Mandarin Oriental across its portfolio including flagship properties; and sold Atlas Hotels on 50 sites. The design is enterprise-first — hardware-agnostic, dozens of API-based integrations, built for multi-outlet hotel food and beverage where the POS has to talk to the property management system.

So be honest about whether you are the buyer. Run a single restaurant and this is not your product. Run hotel food and beverage across several outlets or several properties and it is one of a handful of serious options, in which case the deciding question is the PMS integration and the local support contract, not the price of the terminal.
