IngoGenesis POS Application — bank compatibility

IngoGenesis POS Application is a point-of-sale system for hospitality, built by InfoGenesis. Spelled wrong in the integrator list — it's InfoGenesis, and Agilysys paid $90 million cash for it back in 2007.

Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

InfoGenesis was a Santa Barbara outfit with about 170 staff, split between California and a customer support centre in Las Vegas. Agilysys announced it was buying the lot on 4 June 2007 for $90 million cash, paid out of the $485 million it had just banked selling its IT distribution arm to Arrow Electronics. InfoGenesis had turned over roughly $42 million in the twelve months to March 2007, on about $7 million EBITDA.

The niche tells you everything: casinos, hotels and resorts, cruise lines, stadiums and foodservice. This was never a cafe till. It is enterprise POS for venues where one property runs dozens of outlets and the reporting has to roll up to head office. Nineteen years on it is still the core food-and-beverage product at Agilysys (Nasdaq: AGYS), run out of Alpharetta, Georgia with offices across 118 countries including Australia.

Still winning big work, too. Boyd Gaming made it their POS standard in May 2025, and IHG Hotels & Resorts approved it across the whole portfolio in December 2025. Which is the thing to weigh if you are a single-site operator being quoted this: you are being quoted a system built for a 3,000-room casino.
