iWEIGH — weighbridge and bank compatibility

iWEIGH is weighbridge software for professional services, built by iWEIGH Solutions. Weighbridge software out of Burleigh Heads, running unmanned tipping sites since 2004.

Category first, because this is not a shop till. iWEIGH runs a weighbridge: a truck drives on, gets weighed, and pays for the load or the tipping fee. iWEIGH Solutions Pty Ltd was established in 2004, started as a one-person business and now runs four full-time programmers and a support technician, with a head office at Burleigh Heads in Queensland. Linkly has it accredited as iWEIGH v4.00 and tags it Professional Services, not retail.

The verticals are landfill and transfer stations, quarries, forestry, cattle and bulk loading, with installations across Australia, New Zealand and Fiji. The named customers do more work than any marketing line: Solo Resource Recovery, a customer since 2012 running a 24-hour unmanned operation, plus Quarry Solutions, Bulk Cargo Services and J.J. Richards & Sons, and an unnamed Northern Territory government system. No total site count is published. Recycling, grain and mining are not claimed on the vendor site, so do not assume them.

The practical detail is good. It connects to any weighbridge indicator with an RS232C serial or ethernet output. Unmanned operation is an option built on driver control stations, boom gates, IP cameras and EID tags, with drivers able to enter ticket information on their own device while sitting on the bridge. EFTPOS goes through PC-EFTPOS or Quest Payment Systems, which is exactly why it holds the accreditation. Commercially it is sold on a single annual fixed support fee with no ongoing maintenance charge, on a SQL Server back end, with 25 to 30 standard reports, Excel export, automated report emailing and CCTV capture of registration and load images.
