Krisp is a point-of-sale system for general retail and retail, built by Krisp Systems. A Brisbane chain-retail system that sold to Constellation Software in 2020.

Certified on mx51 and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The mx51 route does not.

It handles phone and mail order and surcharging. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

The mx51 integration uses SPI JavaScript and was last certified in April 2022, on Browser.

KRISP Systems is a Brisbane software company doing multi-store, multi-country POS, CRM, inventory and mobility for chain retailers — fashion, footwear, and food and beverage. Not a single-site product: the whole design assumption is a head office running many stores, possibly across borders.

On 17 August 2020 it joined Vela Australia, part of the Vela Software Group, owned by Constellation Software Inc (TSX: CSU). Luke Haites, Vela's vertical market manager, framed it as finally having "the right solution, and the right resources" to serve chain retailers wanting cloud efficiency without giving up functional depth. KRISP kept operating independently inside the group.

The thing worth flagging: Vela APX also owns AdvanceRetail, the ANZ specialty retail platform trading since 1968. If you are comparing KRISP and AdvanceRetail you are negotiating with one owner twice. Constellation does not generally merge its acquisitions, so both products will keep shipping — but do not expect the two quotes to compete hard against each other.

Current positioning is omni-channel rather than straight POS: POS, order management, inventory, analytics and reporting as one cloud service, covering in-store, click-and-collect and ship-direct. Their headline feature is Endless Aisle — selling stock you do not have on the floor — which they claim can capture over 30 per cent more in sales. Treat that number as a vendor claim, but the capability is real and genuinely hard to retrofit later.
