LithosPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail. A Kerala-built product behind a New York "Inc" front door, with no Australian entity anywhere.
Certified on Linkly, running on premise. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Two entities run under the one brand. The website footer reads "© 2025, LithosPOS Inc." with a New York address on Broadway and a US phone number, while the Apple App Store developer and seller of record is Lithos Technosoft Pvt Ltd, based in the KSITIL Special Economic Zone at Govt. Cyberpark in Calicut, Kerala. So the US Inc is the front door and the Kerala company builds the software. Linkly lists the accredited vendor as LITHOSPOS Inc, tagged hospitality and retail with core payments and tipping.
Founding is 2019 on the G2 seller profile, corroborated by the App Store version history -- version 1.0 released 11 June 2019. The vendor's own About page muddies that by saying the company began "about 10 years" ago and launched its ERP software in 2012, without actually stating a founding year. No founders are named anywhere and no funding record exists. Its own scale claim is more than 10,000 independent retail and F&B businesses plus over 100 chains across 80-plus countries, undated, while the home page says only "trusted by thousands of businesses".
For an Australian merchant the relevant fact is an absence: there is no Australian entity. The contact page lists the US, India, a separately named Danish company called Posunite ApS, the UAE and Guatemala -- no Australian office, and ABR searches for both LithosPOS and Lithos Technosoft return nothing. The product itself is actively maintained, with a release six days before this was written and a version dated 14 September. But there are zero reviews on its G2 profile, so there is no independent read on it at all.
