Medilink iClient — practice software and bank compatibility

Medilink iClient is practice-management software for allied health, health, primary health and medical specialists. The second Medilink record in the Tyro directory, and the one with the health fund claiming on it.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

The integration covers HealthPoint private health claiming and multi-merchant. Tyro rates it a Plus partner.

Same house as Medilink — Advanced Professional Systems, the Australian practice software company supplying health professionals since 1989. iClient is listed separately in the integration directory rather than as a version of the main product, which matters because the two records do not carry the same certified feature set.

This is the one with Tyro HealthPoint on it. The iClient certification covers integrated purchases, receipts, refunds, multi-merchant and HealthPoint for health fund rebates at the counter — but no Medicare Easyclaim. The main Medilink record is the reverse: Easyclaim for part paid and patient paid, no HealthPoint. So which Medilink product you are actually running decides which half of the claiming you get, and nobody will volunteer that in a quote.

If you are a Medilink practice getting a terminal quoted, the first question is which record your install matches. Get it in writing. Being certified under the wrong one is how practices end up with an integrated terminal that still cannot do the claim they bought it for.
