MENUMIZ POS — bank compatibility

MENUMIZ is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and restaurants. An Adelaide QR-ordering app from a company that has registered four new hospitality brand names in the last year.

Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.

Menumiz is QR-code self-service ordering and app-based EPOS that needs no dedicated hardware — digital menus with images, videos and prices, self-ordering, kitchen instructions, payments, and table and kitchen management, with customer apps on iOS and Android. It is genuinely Australian: it is owned and operated by Universal Apps Pty Ltd, which has held an ABN since 6 November 2017 and registered the "menumiz" business name on 25 September 2018. Pricing runs from about A$99 a month.

The company has moved and re-badged, which matters if you are checking it out. Its registered location went from Queensland postcode 4509 to St Lucia in Brisbane in 2020 and to the Adelaide CBD on 14 August 2025, so directory listings showing Brisbane are out of date. It retired the "universal apps" and "NOVIDIC" business names in January 2025, then registered Restaurantility in February, Hospoforce and hospomarket in November and Hospoware in December. That is a company visibly rebuilding its brand portfolio around hospitality right now.

Be realistic about scale. No founder is named anywhere, no funding is on record, and no venue count, order volume or named customer is published by the vendor or by any directory. Capterra lists its availability as Australia and Malaysia only. Two US trademark applications, MENUMIZ and QOMAC, were filed in April 2022 by a separate entity called Menumiz Corp and neither was ever registered. App Store releases have stalled at version 1.48.7, dated 25 January 2025.
