Minder POS — bank compatibility

Minder is a point-of-sale system for fashion and apparel and retail, built by Syscap Retail. Fashion apparel only — and it started life as a 3G dashboard for retail executives.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Minder comes from Syscap Retail Systems, an Australian company pointed squarely at fashion apparel retail. Tyro lists its industry as exactly that, and the client names that have surfaced in the trade press are Carla Zampatti and Gazman — which places it with established Australian labels rather than with cloud POS vendors chasing cafes.
The product has an unusual origin. Back in 2007 Ragtrader covered Minder as a mobile system that let retail executives pull sales figures and top sellers off the corporate database over a 3G phone — head-office reporting, years before that was ordinary. Managing director Alaister Harris was selling it as spontaneous access to how the stores were trading right now. The badge has since become a POS, but the DNA is the back office, not the counter.
So if you run a fashion chain, aim your questions at the middle and back of the business: size and colour matrices, season buying, inter-store transfers, consolidated reporting. Those are the things this lineage suggests it does well, and they are the things most tills do not.

A POS reaches a bank through middleware. Each card below is one certified route; the banks it reaches are on the middleware page.
