MINFOS is a point-of-sale system for pharmacy retail and retail, built by Symbion. Pharmacy software owned by Symbion, which means it is ultimately an EBOS Group business — your wholesaler owns your software.

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.

The Linkly integration runs on premise.

Minfos is a complete pharmacy management system — dispensing, point of sale, stock management and reporting in one — with more than 20 years behind it. It is operated by Symbion Pty Ltd, which is a subsidiary of EBOS Group, the listed healthcare and animal care distributor.

That ownership chain is the thing worth sitting with. Symbion is one of Australia's major pharmaceutical wholesalers. If you run Minfos, the company that supplies your stock also supplies the software that orders it and the till that sells it. That is not automatically bad — the integration between ordering and dispensing is genuinely tighter for it — but it is a dependency most pharmacists have never consciously agreed to.

On the payments side the question is the same as every pharmacy: the dispense record and the sale need to reconcile as one transaction, so the terminal integration matters more here than in general retail.
