MiPOS — bank compatibility

MiPOS is a point-of-sale system for hospitality and retail. A Melbourne outfit that started life as EzyPOS in 2006 and sells you the hardware, the software and the install in one go.

Certified on both Linkly and mx51, which between them cover most of the acquiring market.

The Linkly integration runs on premise. The mx51 integration uses SPI Java and was last certified in August 2023, on Windows.

MiPOS Systems runs out of Noble Park in Melbourne's south-east. It opened in September 2006 under the name EzyPOS and rebranded to MiPOS in 2016. Their own telling is a two-person startup that grew, and the business has spread sideways into security surveillance, online ordering and VoIP phones as well as POS — which tells you it is a local systems-integration shop, not a software company chasing scale.

The pitch is the full kit: touchscreen terminals, receipt and kitchen printers, cash drawers, customer displays, plus tablet and iPad setups, installed and trained locally. They publish prices, which is rare and useful — tablet POS from around $1,490, restaurant systems with iPad integration around $1,990, software-only install $590. Industries are the small end of retail and food: shops, grocers, cafes, takeaways, pizzerias and restaurants. If you want one phone number for the till, the printer and the network, this is that sort of vendor.
