MPower is a point-of-sale system for automotive and transport, entertainment and leisure and retail, built by Clockwork Computing. franchise management software with a till bolted on, from a small Queensland shop that also does muffler shops and tour desks.
Certified on Linkly, running in the cloud. Linkly reaches more acquirers than any other middleware in the market, which is why most POS start there.
The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.
MPower is not a conventional point of sale and its own site does not pretend otherwise — it calls itself an accounting and management tool, first developed for franchise operations. What it actually does is quoting, invoicing, per-branch KPIs, purchase order authorisation limits, task scheduling, multi-branch inventory, mobile field access and integration out to an external general ledger. The fit it describes is a business delivering both services and goods at the small consumer-facing end, across more than one branch.
Clockwork Computing, the company behind it, is a small custom systems and IT services outfit whose other products say a lot about its world: ProCharter for tour operators and tour desks, and Muffler Manager for automotive workshops. Which is exactly why this record is tagged across automotive and transport, entertainment and leisure, and retail — those are its three actual trades. The phone number is a Brisbane area code, though no address is published.
Thin on the rest, and we would rather say so than invent it: no owner, no founding year, no customer names and no install count. The MPower site's footer carries a 2013 copyright, which is a copyright line and not a founding date, and its customers page would not load. No reviews or press exist anywhere. If you are being quoted on this, the franchise multi-branch angle is the reason to look; ask directly about who supports it and how many sites are live.
