Nobly is a point-of-sale system for cafes, hospitality and restaurants, built by Global Retail Technology (Nobly POS). Revolut bought it at the end of 2021, and the company's own page now reads "acquired by Revolut".

Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.

The Linkly integration runs in the cloud.

Nobly POS was founded in 2013 by George Urdea and traded as Global Retail Technology Ltd — an iPad-based hospitality point of sale with back office management, inventory, kitchen display and click-and-collect ordering, sold in the United Kingdom, the United States and Australia.

Revolut announced the acquisition on 29 November 2021 with terms undisclosed. The logic was Revolut's: fold Nobly's ePOS into Revolut's own payment hardware and processing so a hospitality merchant runs the venue and takes the money on one platform. Chief executive Nik Storonsky framed it as advancing a one-stop shop for merchants, with plans to roll the combined product out across Revolut's international footprint and extend it to retail.

What that means if you are looking at it now: the independent Nobly is gone, and the product's direction, pricing and payments all sit with Revolut. The integration record on this site predates the acquisition by years, so before you shortlist it, get written confirmation that the Australian product is still sold and supported, on what terms, and which acquirer it is expected to work with — a payments company that owns a POS has its own view on that.
