Nomad CSS POS — bank compatibility

Nomad CSS POS is a point-of-sale system for cafes and hospitality. Cafe and restaurant software from a custom development shop, sold with the hardware as a bundle.
Tyro only. Tyro is its own middleware and its own acquirer, so this one comes with the bank attached — moving bank means a new integration.
Certified for split bills and cash out. Tyro rates it a Power Up partner.
Nomad CSS POS comes from Nomad Custom Software Solutions and is aimed specifically at cafes and restaurants. They develop the software in-house and will customise how it behaves, which is the trade-off you are making with a small vendor: more flexibility than a mass-market platform, and more dependence on one team. Feature-wise it is the core set — an uncomplicated interface, online ordering integration and in-depth reporting.
It is sold as a package with hardware rather than software alone: a compact all-in-one 15.6-inch touch-screen with no separate PC box, a thermal printer and a heavy-duty cash drawer, on what they describe as unbelievably competitive prices. For a single cafe that just needs a working till and does not want to source hardware separately, that bundling is genuinely convenient.
The Tyro certification is better than the vendor's size suggests: integrated purchases, receipts, refunds, cash out and split payments. Split payments in a cafe or small restaurant is the one that saves arguments at the counter. Their site has not been refreshed since around 2014, so confirm current pricing and support directly rather than working off what is published.
