Parafait POS is a point-of-sale system for bars and pubs, cafes, hospitality and quick service, and 1 more, built by Semnox Solutions. Built for arcades and family entertainment centres — the till is the small end of an RFID cashless system.
Certified on Linkly and on Tyro. Worth knowing the difference: Tyro is its own acquirer, so that route means banking with Tyro. The Linkly route does not.
The Linkly integration runs on premise.
Parafait is Semnox Solutions' suite for the entertainment and leisure business. Semnox was established in 2008, is headquartered in Mangalore in India, and has offices across India, the United States, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Latin America and China, adding a UK office in Reading in January 2024. It runs on more than 2,800 sites across 60-plus countries, with Chuck E. Cheese and its 500-plus locations, Great Yarmouth Pleasure Beach and Clacton Pier among the references.
Parafait itself began in 2008 as RFID reader technology and card management software, then grew outwards over about five years into redemption modules, mobile POS, CRM, kiosks and full venue management. Which is the right way to read this record: the point of sale here is the counter end of a cashless card and RFID system, not a restaurant till that happens to work in an arcade. Target formats are family entertainment centres, arcades, trampoline parks, laser tag arenas and indoor playgrounds. Parafait took Innovative Product of the Year at the Indian amusement parks association conference in 2009, 2013, 2014 and 2016.
So the comparison set is not hospitality POS at all. It is the other attractions platforms, and the deciding questions are the card and wristband system, redemption, game card readers and access control, with payments following from those. Note there is no Australian office in Semnox's published list, so settle who supports you locally before you sign.
